We at the Canadian Constitution Foundation are thrilled to bring you this year’s Christmas-themed civil liberties report calling out what we saw as “Nice” and what we saw as “Naughty” in this past year.

2024 was our biggest year yet. We took on and won more cases than in any previous year. We need to keep fighting and to continue defending our country’s constitution. Because if we don’t do it, we know what will happen. Governments will continue to steamroll over our rights.

While this report is intended to be a bit lighthearted, don’t think that means we won’t be willing to take governments to task on some of these issues in the coming new year—if we haven’t already, of course.
