Only a few years ago, we typically carried 8 to 10 active cases at a time. Today, our litigation portfolio has grown to 24 active cases, with several more developing behind the scenes.

That growth is producing results: Since 2022, we’ve secured more than 20 victories for constitutional rights and freedoms across Canada.

We have doubled our output with only a modest increase to expenses. But we’re ready to expand even more and we have several initiatives underway to make the CCF an even stronger champion for freedom in Canada.

To begin with, former Saskatchewan Attorney General Bronwyn Eyre is joining the CCF’s legal team this October, bringing extensive legal experience and a rare understanding of how governments exercise their power and where that power can be challenged.

But expanding our team is only valuable if we can put that additional capacity to work. 

We want to give our growing legal team the resources to pursue more cases, investigate and publicize more government overreach, and take advantage of opportunities that we simply haven’t had the capacity to pursue before. To be blunt, we need more funding to pay for new cases.
