This week’s Freedom Defenders—picked by Christine—are the fine lawyers who represented us in the Impact Assessment Act case described at the beginning of this email.

The Impact Assessment Act decision might not have turned out the way it did were it not for the tireless efforts of Brett and Aidan.
The CCF was the only intervener to provide the Court with case law on severance that showed the Court how it could carve out the constitutional portions of the Act from the unconstitutional portion of the Act. Brett and Aidan spent some very late nights on this intervention, which was conducted on a pro bono basis.
We could not do the work we do defending the constitution without such brilliant lawyers willing to donate their time and energy.
