Is Canada's Voting System Unconstitutional? No - and that's a silly idea.
A new case heading to court this fall in Ontario – a legal challenge to Canada’s voting system. A coalition of activist advocacy groups is arguing that Canada’s voting system – called first past the post – is unconstitutional.
Even though this is the voting system we’ve had since confederation! The Canadian Constitution Foundation is intervening in the case to say that while our system may not be perfect, it’s perfectly constitutional.
