Privacy & Surveillance:
Know Your Rights!
Privacy rights are crucial for maintaining individual autonomy, dignity, and freedom in society. At a basic level, they protect personal information from being misused, disclosed, or exploited by the state. They put the private, in private citizen—and are essential characteristic of a free society such as Canada.
We at the Canadian Constitution Foundation think all Canadians ought to have a working knowledge of these rights. And establishing this awareness in society will only become more in a world that increasingly encroaches on personal data.
Lectures are delivered by leading scholars and lawyers from across the country, and include short quizzes to recap your knowledge. Take the course at your own pace.
