While we’re promised universal access and care, even a minor interaction with the system these days exposes how broken things have become in Canadian healthcare, particularly since the pandemic.
We’re facing longer than ever wait times; being treated in “temporary” tents connected to aging hospitals; and many Canadians have given up trying to find a family doctor.
And just about every Canadian has a personal story now that shows how bad things have gotten.
Are you fed up? We certainly are.
It’s become clear that the only way forward is for Canadians to stand up for patient rights and force change from below.

Dear Ministers of Health,
Accompanying this letter is a story with my experience with Canadian healthcare.
Healthcare quality is seemingly going in one direction and I don’t want reform to only come when the system collapses entirely.
Healthcare can be done better.
It’s time to recognize our rights as patients and allow us to seek out care when we need it within Canada. Please reform our provincial healthcare systems to allow for REAL patient choice.
Enough is enough
